SMS / Messaging Policy

Overview

Line Deploy provides a platform for operational workforce messaging and related communications. Customers are responsible for obtaining and documenting recipient consent before sending SMS messages through the platform.

Messages sent through Line Deploy identify the sending business when applicable so recipients understand who is contacting them.

Message Types

Messages sent through Line Deploy may include:

  • Workforce availability requests
  • Storm deployment details (location, time, staging yard, contact information)
  • Training and compliance notifications (course assignments, LMS links)
  • Authentication messages (one-time passcodes for login)

Consent (Opt-In)

Recipients receive messages only after appropriate consent has been obtained.

For authentication messages, users provide their mobile phone number and request a one-time verification code during login. Authentication messages are sent only in response to this user-initiated request and are used solely to verify identity and complete account access.

For operational workforce messaging, workers may be enrolled through one of three methods:

  • Line Deploy opt-in page — Workers may complete the sign-up form at a company's Line Deploy recruitment page (join.linedeploy.com/[company]) and voluntarily check an SMS consent checkbox to opt in to receive messages. Checking this box is not required to join a company's contact list; workers who do not check it will not receive SMS messages unless consent is later established through one of the methods below. Line Deploy maintains a record of these submissions.
  • Employer-collected consent — Employers may enroll workers, including those who did not check the consent box at signup, based on prior written consent collected through their own onboarding or administrative process, such as paper forms or digital agreements. The employer is solely responsible for maintaining and producing consent records for these workers.
  • Employer contact list import — When an employer uploads a contact list to Line Deploy, the employer certifies to Line Deploy that consent has already been obtained for every contact on that list.

In all cases, workers may opt out at any time by replying STOP to any message received.

SMS Privacy

SMS consent data and mobile phone numbers are not sold, rented, shared, or disclosed to third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes.

Information may only be shared with service providers necessary to deliver messaging services, including telecommunications and messaging providers.

Message Frequency & Rates

Message frequency varies based on storm events, workforce needs, and training assignments. Message and data rates may apply depending on the recipient's mobile carrier.

Opt-Out Instructions

Recipients may opt out at any time by replying with any of the following keywords:

  • STOP
  • STOPALL
  • OPTOUT
  • CANCEL
  • END
  • QUIT
  • UNSUBSCRIBE
  • REVOKE

After opting out, no further messages will be sent unless consent is re-established. If a recipient has opted out, affirmative consent must be obtained before SMS messaging resumes. Re-consent may be documented through any compliant consent method established by the Customer.

No Marketing Messages

Line Deploy does not send marketing or promotional messages. All messages are strictly operational and transactional.

Customer Responsibility

Businesses using Line Deploy are responsible for:

  • Obtaining proper consent from all recipients before sending messages
  • Maintaining and producing consent records for workers enrolled through employer-administered consent methods
  • Ensuring compliance with applicable messaging laws and carrier requirements
  • Sending only relevant operational messages
  • Ensuring messages identify the sending business by name
